Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AlertVista, operated by Mohammed Afaaq Ahmed (“AlertVista”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and monitoring service (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name and email address, handled through our authentication provider (Clerk).
- Monitoring data — the URLs, hosts, domains, alert channels (such as email or webhook endpoints), and settings you configure, plus the check results and incidents we generate for you.
- Billing information — plan and subscription details. Payments are processed by Polar; we do not store your full card details.
- Technical data — log and diagnostic data such as IP address, browser type, and error reports, used to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use your information
- to provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- to run your monitors and deliver alerts and notifications;
- to process payments and manage your subscription;
- to respond to support requests and communicate service updates; and
- to detect, prevent, and address security issues, abuse, or technical problems.
3. Service providers we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with providers that help us run the Service, each acting on our behalf:
- Clerk — user authentication and account management;
- Supabase — database and file storage;
- Polar — payment and subscription processing;
- Resend — transactional and alert emails;
- Sentry — error monitoring and diagnostics;
- Render and Vercel — application hosting.
We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
4. Data retention
We keep your account and monitoring data for as long as your account is active. Check history is retained according to your plan. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations.
5. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and tenant isolation between accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage much of your data in your account settings, or contact us to exercise these rights.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies needed for login sessions and security (for example, through Clerk). These are required for the Service to function. We do not use them to sell your data.
8. International data transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you.
